PATTERN
Note: There are numbers in parenthesis inserted into the pattern that refer to the numbers of photograpgs. Video tutorials for the stitches we used, are in the Tkanee adventures.
• The brackets are used the following way:
◦ (…) parenthesis in normal weight indicates a group of sts that will be worked into the same st or sp
◦ (…) parenthesis in bold indicate lower level repeats
◦ […] square brackets indicate basic repeat of the pattern for one side of the panel. Consisting of multiple instructions (it is to be repeated 4 times for the square, 6 times for hexagon, 3 times for triangle …)
Begin with ch4 (00.01) and ss intot he first of them (00.02). The frst round is to be crocheted over the loose tail and then you will close the center by pulling the tail. You can also use magic circle (MC) or double magic circle (DMC)
Round 1:
Ch1, [sc into MC, ch2] 4x. Close the MC / MDC tightly.
Finish the round and all the following rounds by a ss into the first sc of this round (the first corner sc) (01.01)..
Hint: If you crochet over the loose tail for a few rounds, you won’t have to weave it in later. Changing the tail’s direction with each round or side will make it more secure.
Round 2:
Ch1, [(sc, ch2, sc) into the ch2 corner space, sc] 4x. (02.01), (02.02)
+ ss into the first st of this round (02.03) – 3 st per side plus ch2 corner space
Round 3:
Ch1, [(sc, ch2, sc) into the ch2 corner space, 3 sc] 4x.
+ ss into the first st of this round – 5 st per side plus ch2 corner space
Round 4:
Ch1, [(sc, ch2, sc) into the ch2 corner space, 5 sc] 4x.
+ ss into the first st of this round – 7 st per side plus ch2 corner space
Round 5:
Ch1, [(sc, ch2, sc) into the ch2 corner space, 7 sc] 4x.
+ ss into the first st of this round – 9 st per side plus ch2 corner space
Round 6:
Ch1, [(sc, ch2, sc) into the ch2 corner space, 9 sc] 4x.
+ ss into the first st of this round – 11 st per side plus ch2 corner space
Round 7:
Ch1, [(sc, ch2, sc) into the ch2 corner space, 11 sc] 4x.
+ ss into the first st of this round – 13 st per side plus ch2 corner space
Round 8:
Ch1, [(sc, ch2, sc) into the ch2 corner space, 13 sc] 4x.
+ ss into the first st of this round – 15 st per side plus ch2 corner space
Round 9:
Ch1, [(sc, ch2, sc) into the ch2 corner space, 15 sc] 4x.
+ ss into the first st of this round – 17 st per side plus ch2 corner space
Round 10:
Ch1, [(3 sc) into the ch2 corner space, 17 sc] 4x.
+ ss into the first st of this round – 19 st per side plus ch2 corner space
