Evening star

What will it be?

It’s going to be a hexagon with a motif of a star on it that can be joined with others to make a blanket, a throw, a plaid or a shawl.

If you wanted to play  with the size of the yarn, you can get a rug for your bedroom or your pet or for example a coaster for your Christmass table.

I’m making a blanket for my daughter.

The diameter of the hexagon is 31 cm (34 from corner to corner)

What will you need?

You wil need the following:

–  a size 4 crochet hok

– 50g of a DK wight yarn – I’m using Merino from Vlnap (50g = 105m)

– stitch markers – it’s an easy overlay crochet pattern, but if it’s a new technique for you, they can be usefull

Genneral pattern notes

-there are two alternating corner options from round 4 till round 20 there (with exception of the round 10)

a) sc, ch1, sc into the same sc from the previous round

b) sc into the ch1 space from previous round (which the a) option goues into)

– it is recomended to mark the a) ch1 and b) sc with a stitch marker

– every pattern round has 6 repetitions (starting wth round 3), the beginnieng of the sequence states which corner variation is to be used

– in the last repetition you have to replace the last stitch with a slip stitch (ss) and a ch1. The new round beggins with the apropriate corner variation into the center corner of a previous one (ch1 space or sc) – preferable marked with a stitch marker.

– always leave out one stitch unworked behind each special stitch (front posts, stitches in the FLO, … )

– all the videos are in czech, but they will be replaced with english ones

– for support, questions and to share your work chain the Tkanee adventures facebook group
